CONDITIONAL SENTENCE
Conditional sentence is complex
sentence (complex sentence) consists of a statement unreal subordinate clause
(without the possibility of true) or hypothetical (it is likely true) and the
main clause in the form of result / consequence (result / consequence). Fuller

CONDITIONAL SENTENCE TYPE I
(Real Conditionals)
Conditional sentence type 1
is a useful modality phrase to indicate something that might happen in the
future.
Pola :
{IF + Subject + Verb1},
{Subject + will + Verb1}
Example:
If you are my boyfriend, I
will marry you.
I will marry you, if you are
my boyfriend.
If I have money, I will come
to My Chemical Romance’s concert.
CONDITIONAL SENTENCE TYPE II
(Improbable/Unreal in the Present)
Conditional sentence type 2
is a useful modality sentences to indicate something that is not possible in
the present (something that is contrary to the facts in the present).
Conditional sentence can also be used to express something we did not expect.
Pola :
{IF + Subject + Verb2},
{Subject + would/could/should + Verb1}
Example:
If I spoke English well, I
would be accepted to work.(Fact: I don’t speak English well, so I will not be
accepted to work).
She would lend you a ruler,
if she brought it.(Fact: She doesn’t bring her ruler, so she won’t lend you).
If I knew her number, he
would call her.(Fact: He doesn’t know her number, so he won’t call her).
We would tay in our boarding
house, if it didn’t stop raining.(Fact: It stops raining,so we won’t stay in
our boarding house).
CONDITIONAL SENTENCE TYPE III
(Unreal in the Past)
Conditional sentences type 3
is a modality that is used when the result / consequence (result) of the
condition (condition) there is no possibility to materialize because his
condition had been met in the past.
Pola:
{IF +Subject + Had + V3},
{Subject + Would / Might / Could / Should Have + Verb 3}
Example:
You would have passed the
exam, if You had studied hard.(Fact: You did not study hard).
If the weather had been nice
yesterday, we would have gone to the zoo.(Fact: Yesterday the weather had not
been nice).
